Parra For Cuva Live at Taj Vivanta, Chennai

Share

Nicolas Demuth aka Parra for Cuva grew up in a small town in Lower Saxony (Germany), which he left right after his A- levels to study sound design in the wild, vibrant Berlin. The various musical influences of the city only boosted his already strong fascination in producing electronic music and helped developing his unique sound. More so his long years of playing classical and jazz piano help him transfer his visions. Also of great importance is his long lasting friendship with singer Anna Naklab, whose voice stands in perfect symbiosis to his compositions. “Serene and relaxed within the last bone”, as blog author Bianca Werner put it so eloquently, well describes their collaborations.
In the spring of 2013 Parra for Cuva & Anna Naklab released their ‘Fading Nights’ EP on the french label Delicieuse Musique Records followed by more and leading to the release of „Wicked Games“ on Spinnin’ Records in September 2013. With great music to come, Parra for Cuva not only wants to get people dancing when playing his live-set, but abduct them into a world of sound and harmony.
After years of continuing growth and consistent perfection of his sound characteristics his first album ’’Majoure?’’ was released in 2014.

The project Kanibal HolokausT arose at the end of 2003, from member, Nino Zlatic, who founded and part of Grotesque Records .Vision of the project is experimental dark trance with tinges of the horror sounds and dark atmospheres. Fast and slow bass lines in the bpm range of 150 – 180,gives an impression of the bizzare world creating. The project is identifiable with his personal style which is scary pads, hard acid sounds which slowly hitch to the noisy music sound. Unexplainable rhythm, strange speed changing, which he labour’d to transfer to people beauty of the dark and night sound. Its a combination of twisted, forest melody, night style and hard experimental psychedelic sound.

Padambushan Sudha Ragunathan at Vani Mahal, Chennai

Sudha has a golden touch in her voice which enthralls her listeners from all over the globe. There is tantalizing mystery behind that cherubic smile. Her deep relish for tradition and mystical old-world charm is supremely addictive. Her foundation in the world of music was laid at a very young age and it was her mother Smt. Choodamani who groomed her, before the onus to nurture her music fell upon Vidwan Sri. B.V. Lakshman.
