Enchanted Valley Carnival, also known as EVC, returns this December on 19th, 20th and 21st of December 2014. The first day of EVC will be headlined by Grammy award-winning electro dance David Guetta on the 20th of December and trance warriors Ferry Corsten and Markus Schulz as New World Punx will perform on 21st December. Singer/actor Monica Dogra (and one half of electro-rock act Shaair + Func) recently released her first ever single ‘Rise Up and Run’ and first music video, from her solo record that was exclusively premiered on redbull.in. ‘Rise Up And Run’ was released by fans who unlocked the videos by tweeting with #RiseUpAndRun. Indian Symphonic Black Metal Band, Diabolus Arcanium are all set to release their full length album ‘Spellbound- The Path of Ascension.’ The band released a demo album digitally worldwide via ‘Haught Records’ (USA) earlier this year and now the album has been re-recorded with a real orchestra, producing a massive sound the band was looking for. The re-recorded version has eleven tracks and the release can be expected by late October/ November. The band is currently producing their coming up cover album, ‘Kings of Black Metal’ and their next full length (due 2015). Chennai’s Grey Shack goes international this year! After emerging as winners at the Harley Rock Riders Tour in Mumbai last year, Grey Shack will be performing at the European Bike Week in Faaker See, Austria, on September 5th 2014. Grey Shack, featuring Rohan Sen on vocals, Vikram Vivekanand on guitar, Conrad Simmons on bass and Ramkumar Kanakarajan on drums, will be performing their first ever international gig as Harley Davidson’s ‘Band of the Year’. Joining the band on stage will be their former bassist Madhav Ravindranath, who will be taking over from the current bassist Conrad Simmons for this tour. Kej made history being the first Indian artist to top the Billboard charts. Bangalore-based band Peepal Tree is all set for their debut gig at The BFlat Bar today. The band comprises Sujay Harthi on vocals, Tony Das on guitars, Praveen Biligiri on bass and Willy Demoz on drums and percussions. They describe their music as “Indian melodies sitting on funk grooves with overtones of electronica, and sung in Indian languages.” Each musician in the band has been part of some of the most successful bands from India.
